The head of the interim government of Lebanon, Naef Salaam, stated that the aim is to strengthen the establishment of an effective cabinet of ministers, free from the influence of partisan divisions. He expressed reluctance to allow any obstacles for the work of the future government.
Salaam emphasized that his goal is to ensure the independence and neutrality of the government. At the same time, the President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun, requested France to support the position of the country, which requires a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces and the fulfillment of commitments regarding the liberation of Lebanese prisoners. During the same time, Israeli forces continued to violate the border in southern Lebanon.
