In Beirut's southern suburbs, an Israeli airstrike targeted the vicinity of the Faculty of Sciences at the Lebanese University on Thursday. The attack resulted in the death of the faculty's director and another doctor, as reported by local media Al-Jadeed, whose information was captured by the Argentine News Agency. The Israeli army announced on Thursday the launch of a new series of airstrikes in Beirut against Hezbollah targets. The announcement came as the army expands its attacks in Lebanon, urging residents to evacuate the area north of the Zahrani River. Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 687 people since the war with Iran began. Meanwhile, Lebanese local channel Al-Jadeed reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted a building in the Bachoura area in central Beirut.
