Israeli Airstrike Targets Hezbollah Leadership in Beirut

On Tuesday evening, the official representative of the Israel Defense Forces, Avichay Adraee, stated that a high-ranking member of the Hezbollah group, Hashem Safi al-Din, was killed. He added that in the aerial attack, an intelligence officer using intelligence information struck the Hezbollah command center underground in the center of the civilian population in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

"Now it can be confirmed that the Israeli army killed Hashem Safi al-Din, the head of the Hezbollah executive council, and Ali Hussein Khazim — a commander of the Hezbollah intelligence among other leaders," Adraee said.

According to him, the attack occurred in the western part of the Damascus Heights in the northern part of the land, where the military positions of Hezbollah were concentrated.
