During her visit to Beirut on Wednesday, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock warned that Lebanon is on the brink of disaster amid escalating military actions from Israel. "We must strive for a diplomatic solution to the conflict between Israel and Lebanon," said the German Foreign Minister upon arriving in Beirut.
"The situation in the region has become critical, and it is important to avoid further escalation," she noted. According to Baerbock, Germany is ready to play its mediating role in finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
"We call on all parties to exercise restraint and are prepared to take any necessary measures to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region," the German Foreign Minister emphasized.
