The political party "Hezbollah" announced the election of Naim Qassem to the position of general secretary of the party instead of Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Naim Qassem stated: "We will continue the path of the Holy Resistance and restore our presence there, where the chains of oppression are buried. Hezbollah will continue to fight for the freedom and independence of Lebanon."
