Airstrikes on Southern Beirut

Southern Beirut was subjected to airstrikes on Sunday morning. Camera footage shows the impact of the attacks on the area.

On Sunday morning, the southern suburbs of Beirut were attacked from the air, as shown by video footage captured by cameras. The attacks occurred in the sector controlled by 'Hezbollah', supported by Syrian forces and their proxy militias. The exact details of the attack are not known, but, according to witness accounts, explosions were heard in the area, resulting in deaths, with at least two and several more people sustaining injuries.

Hezbollah's spokesperson stated that the attack was carried out near Beirut while emphasizing that the targets of the attack were state structures.

"We are surprised that the attacks target ordinary civilians. Bombs are dropped not on military objects, but on the homes of people," stated Hezbollah representatives after the incident.

At the same time, the NGO 'Human Rights Watch' emphasized that such aerial attacks against civilian populations represent a violation of a UN Security Council resolution.
