Today, the Lebanese military court heard Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker in connection with the events of Abra in Sidon in 2013, before adjourning the session to March 24. During the hearing, Shaker confirmed that he did not open fire on the Lebanese army, stressing that he does not carry a weapon and does not know how to use it. The court also heard Ahmed al-Sir, who denied that the singer had financed his armed group or participated in the fighting, explaining that Shaker's recourse to him at the time was due to threats he was exposed to, according to him. Shaker had turned himself in to the Lebanese army in October 2025 at the entrance to the Ain al-Hilweh camp after years of being in hiding, following the in absentia rulings against him in 2020, which sentenced him to 15 years in prison with hard labor for providing logistical support and an additional 7 years for financing an armed group.
