Israeli Drone Strike in Lebanon Kills Two, Including Hamas Officer

Two people, including a Hamas officer, were killed and a woman was wounded in an Israeli drone attack on a residential apartment in the Palestinian Beddawi refugee camp in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli, Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported. The National News Agency reported that among the victims was Wassim Atallah al-Ali, a high-ranking Hamas officer, along with his wife, who were executed after an Israeli drone attacked their home within the camp. According to a Xinhua report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, one of al-Ali's daughters was also injured and taken to the camp's hospital for treatment. Last Monday, Hezbollah launched missiles and drones into Israeli territory in retaliation for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during a joint US-Israeli offensive and systematic Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Israel responded with massive airstrikes on Hezbollah targets and deployed ground forces inside southern Lebanon.
