Sofar Murder: Family Kills Newlyweds

A horrific crime rocked the Lebanese town of Sofar two days ago after the killing of a mechanic and his wife under tragic circumstances. According to details, masked gunmen opened fire on a man who works as a car mechanic and his wife in front of their young child, causing them to die instantly. Lebanese media reported that the suspects in this crime are the wife's family, who opposed their relationship from the beginning. This led their daughter to elope with her husband and complete the marriage without parental consent, a practice known socially as "forced elopement". Despite three years of marriage that resulted in the birth of a child, their union was never approved by the family due to customs and traditions. Local sources stated that several relatives of the family arrived at the scene and fired a volley of bullets inside the back room of the tire shop where the husband worked, leading to his and his wife's death, before fleeing to an unknown direction.
