The World Bank estimates that the cost of rebuilding and recovering Lebanon after the destructive war between Israel and Hezbollah is primarily at 11 billion dollars.
This estimate was provided after an overview of the aftermath of the conflict that occurred last summer, and the damage to the country's infrastructure is considered serious. According to a representative of the Bank, the recovery strategy should be large-scale and primarily focused on the restoration of housing, communal infrastructure, and social services.
They noted that for the successful implementation of this strategy, not only international financial support is necessary but also cooperation between the Lebanese government and aid organizations in the realization of recovery plans.
"We understand that recovery requires significant resources and efforts, and we are ready to provide all necessary assistance to ensure that Lebanon can return to normal life as soon as possible," the representative of the Bank emphasized.
