Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, called on the international community to act in response to the devastation caused by the war in the country.

The conference also aims to support the Lebanese armed forces and the UN peacekeeping mission in the country. It aims to coordinate efforts to strengthen defenses in southern Lebanon and seek an agreement that could bring an end to the war in the region. Participants will also discuss how to strengthen the UN peacekeeping mission in the country, which has been affected by recent attacks.

In one of the statements, Mikati mentioned that the country has 1.4 million displaced individuals, including 500,000 children. The crisis in Lebanon has led to a shortage of resources to manage the healthcare system and meet the needs of the population. Finally, international efforts are expected to contribute to restoring stability in the region and alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese population.
