Saudi Arabia expressed its support for the positions of the Lebanese authorities regarding the incident with the attack on the convoy of the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on the way to the Beirut airport, when it was blocked by protesting supporters of the "Hezbollah" party. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia issued a statement in which it stated its "full support" for the actions taken by the Lebanese authorities "in response to attempts to violate the security of citizens and decisively counter any attacks." The statement highlights support and trust in the decisions of the President of Lebanon Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, as well as the actions of the Lebanese army "to fulfill obligations aimed at ensuring security and stability."
