The Israel Defense Forces announced a strike against rocket installations in southern Lebanon, which they described as a "direct threat to Israeli citizens."
According to the official national information agency, Israel carried out two airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
"We bear responsibility for the protection of our citizens and will not allow any groups to threaten their safety," stated a representative of the Israel Defense Forces.
The attack occurred after rockets were launched from southern Lebanon toward Israeli territory. No significant information regarding casualties or damages has been reported.
