Lebanon's President Michel Aoun stated on Monday that he instructed the army to respond to any provocation. This came after an incident at the border of Lebanon and Israel. "The President of the Republic ordered the army's commander to respond to any aggression, as well as assigned the foreign minister to pursue the topic with the UN Security Council," the official statement from the President of Lebanon said. It is important to note that the decision to react to provocations was made after Israeli soldiers attacked civilian objects on the southern border of Lebanon.
