Lebanon closed schools and evacuated public places on Monday in anticipation of an imminent Israeli strike on the south of the country. The town of Aitrun in the south said in a press statement: "Our dear citizens, we ask you to exercise caution, following information that the enemy intends to carry out an operation to target a local objective in Aitrun, the location of which is unknown at the moment". It added that "the mechanism informed the army, which in turn informed the municipality of an imminent strike on Aitrun, without specifying the form and place of the attack". It was noted that schools were closed, students were sent home, and public places were evacuated as a precaution.
