The Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, criticized on Friday the Lebanese government's decision to send a civilian delegate to the ceasefire committee, describing the step as a "free concession" to Israel.
According to Qassem, this decision undermines Lebanon's position and caters to hostile forces. He emphasized that Hezbollah considers it unacceptable for Lebanese representatives to participate in any structures controlled by Israel, either directly or indirectly.
"This is nothing but a capitulation to Israeli demands," Qassem stated. "We will not allow anyone in Lebanon to act against the interests of our nation and resistance." His statement came amid ongoing tense border negotiations between Lebanon and Israel.
