The U.S. Embassy in Lebanon warned on Friday that the security situation in the country is “volatile and unpredictable” and urged its citizens to leave the country while commercial flights are still available. The embassy reported that airstrikes, drone operations, and rocket attacks continue in various parts of the country, especially in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa region, and some areas of Beirut. The embassy warned that Iran and allied armed groups may intend to attack universities in Lebanon, noting that Iran specifically threatened American universities across the Middle East. On Friday, five people were killed and 15 others injured in separate Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, Argentina's news agency reported, citing Lebanon's National News Agency. Meanwhile, Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that the total death toll from Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 1,368, with the number of injured reaching 4,138.
