The Israeli army has stated, without presenting evidence, that it has caused the deaths of more than 17,000 fighters. Military operations have extended to Lebanon, where a ground invasion took place on October 1 after clashes with Hezbollah at the border. Lebanese health authorities reported heavy shelling that left 19 dead in one day, raising the total number of fatalities in the country to 2,593 since October 2023.

In Gaza, Israeli airstrikes and shelling hit homes in Khan Yunis, according to Palestinian health officials. Around a hundred people remain kidnapped in Gaza, with the belief that a third of them may have died.

Recently, Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of 36 people in Gaza, mostly minors, and three reporters in Lebanon. The shortage of supplies in Gaza and international pressure for a ceasefire have been increasing.

A month earlier, a bombing in southern Lebanon killed a Reuters cameraman and injured journalists from AFP and Al-Jazeera. These attacks, which include the deaths of journalists, have sparked international protests, although Israel has stated that they are not intentional attacks.

Hostilities erupted when Palestinian insurgents led by Hamas entered southern Israel in October 2023, resulting in the deaths of around 1,200 people, mostly civilians. Israel claims to have had information about the presence of reporters in the attacked area, but the communicators allege that they were targeted despite their reporting work.

Amid the violence, journalists in the Hasbaya region have been targeted, with several media outlets affected, leading to accusations of war crimes against Israel. Al-Mayadeen TV reported the death of two of its employees in Lebanon. Lebanese authorities and various sectors have condemned these attacks on journalists, labeling them as "murders."
