Israel Destroys Hezbollah's Missile Factories in Beirut

The Israeli army claimed to have destroyed the majority of missile manufacturing plants and weapon storage facilities of Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut, known as Dahye. These sites have been constant targets of bombings by Israel. According to the military statement, in recent weeks the air force has attacked structures of the Shiite group, previously identified by Israeli intelligence.

"The (terrorist) group Hezbollah is placing its facilities in the heart of civilian population centers as a combat strategy, and this is another example of how Hezbollah exploits Lebanese civilians as human shields," stated the Israeli spokesperson. Since the start of the conflict, more than 3,200 people have lost their lives in Lebanon, including 201 children, with the majority of deaths occurring during the recent campaign of Israeli bombings.

In response, Israel has justified its actions against Hezbollah by insisting that the group had plans to invade the north of the country. One of the targets of the attacks was a residential complex in Choueifat, where components for long-range missiles were manufactured. The army identified this plant as a threat due to the missiles' ability to reach any point in Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel also announced a series of bombings in the area against command centers and arms production sites of Hezbollah. Since the start of the Israeli offensive in Lebanon, more than 1.2 million people have been displaced, and on the Israeli side, 76 people have died due to attacks launched from Lebanon, including 45 civilians.
