
On Tuesday, in a series of intense attacks carried out by Israel in different parts of Lebanon, especially in the south, center, and east of the Mediterranean country, at least 78 people lost their lives and another 122 were injured. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that 24 people died in the central province of Mount Lebanon, where thousands are displaced due to violence, 39 people died in the south, and 13 in Nabatiye, an area heavily affected by the war. Additionally, two people died and 11 were injured in Baalbek-Hermel.
Since the outbreak of violence between Israel and the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah on October 8, 2023, at least 3,365 people have died and 14,344 have been injured in Israeli attacks. Most of these deaths occurred after Israel launched a large-scale bombing campaign on September 23, which also led to the displacement of more than 1.2 million people in Lebanon.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, 216 children, 653 women, and 192 health professionals have lost their lives due to the violence. Israeli attacks have also damaged 88 outpatient centers, 40 hospitals, and 244 ambulances in Lebanon.
