UNIFIL has confirmed the importance of continuing to implement Resolution 1701 regarding the cessation of hostilities in southern Lebanon. In this context, UNIFIL has published concentrated patrols in the area to assist in preserving stability and preventing potential violations.
In its statement, UNIFIL said: "Maintaining calm and stability in the area is of utmost importance, and we are committed to achieving this goal in cooperation with the Lebanese Armed Forces, including through increasing presence and nightly patrols."
