The Israeli Army announced that it has killed more than 200 alleged fighters of the Lebanese Shia militia Hezbollah in ground and air operations in southern Lebanon. In the past year, over 3,300 Lebanese have died in the conflict, the majority in the last two months with the escalation of bombings and the Israeli ground incursion. According to Israel, about 2,500 of the victims are Hezbollah militants.
In these operations, the Israel Defense Forces claimed to have eliminated three Hezbollah commanders, including one from a regional battalion and two from the special Radwan force. Additionally, more than 140 launchers were dismantled in southern Lebanon that posed an immediate threat to Israeli troops and civilians, including those used in recent attacks.
The Israeli Army detected more than 50 projectiles fired from Lebanon toward its territory, leading Israel to continue countering threats to prevent terrorist attacks. On the other hand, an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon has left 6 dead and 15 injured according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, while bombings are reported in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
On the northern front, 76 people have died in Israel since October of last year, including 31 military personnel. In the ground offensive in Lebanon, which began on October 1 of this year, 40 Israeli casualties were recorded.
