The National News Agency reported today that at least four people were killed and six others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a four-story residential building in Baalbek, eastern Lebanon. The agency stated: "The initial toll is four martyrs and six wounded, and efforts are ongoing to rescue families from under the rubble." The strike came amid a sharp escalation in fighting on the Lebanese-Israeli border since Monday, after Hezbollah launched drones and rockets into Israel. Since then, the Iran-aligned group has fired more rockets, and Israel has carried out a series of airstrikes on Lebanon and sent troops to the south.
