Fourteen people were killed in the collapse of two residential buildings in the Lebanese city of Tripoli. Search and rescue operations have concluded, with eight people rescued.

Officials said on Sunday that two adjacent buildings had collapsed. Earlier, the Civil Defense had stated that 22 people were living in the buildings. Lebanon's National News Agency reported that 14 people were killed in the collapse of a residential building in the city of Tripoli, adding that search and rescue operations had ended. The agency quoted the Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Emad Khreish, as saying that the operations were over and that eight people had been rescued.
