Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, in a speech on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, reminded Lebanese of their national responsibility to build a state of institutions and enhance coexistence. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun affirmed on Friday the Lebanese commitment to building a strong state governed by law and preserving its national unity, stressing that Lebanon's interest must remain above all considerations. Meanwhile, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri insisted on holding the legislative elections on schedule on May 10 next year and submitted his first candidacy request. At the same time, the Israeli army carried out an artillery strike and opened fire towards several towns in southern Lebanon yesterday.
