Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that the death toll from Israeli attacks during the new round of conflict has risen to 2,020, with 6,436 people injured amid the escalation of hostilities. The ministry stated that the figure reflects the cumulative number of victims recorded across various regions amidst continuous Israeli airstrikes and cross-border exchanges. The escalation follows the resumption of hostilities involving Hezbollah, which claimed to have launched rockets from southern Lebanon into Israel on March 2 for the first time since the ceasefire reached on November 27, 2024, as learned by the Argentine News Agency. The exchange of fire led Israel to expand its military campaign across Lebanon. Since then, Lebanon has been attacked in various areas, with combat spreading beyond border regions to other parts of the country.
Iran and the United States agreed on Wednesday to a ceasefire.
