The Ministry of Health of Lviv reported on Friday that 163 people, working in the fields of healthcare and emergency services, were killed due to Israeli airstrikes.

The majority of the deceased were medical workers and rescuers, who worked on the front lines dealing with the consequences of airstrikes in a country that is already suffering from a deep economic crisis.

"This is a real tragedy. We have lost many outstanding specialists and fighters for life. Today we are mourning and honoring them in the present," said the representative of the medical community of Lviv.

According to the Ministry of Health, among the deceased are doctors, paramedics, pharmacists, and volunteers, as well as other workers who bear no responsibility for providing assistance to the population under crisis conditions.
